		<description>I agree with your point, but I fear that this is another example of the age-old debate of fairness versus practicality. There is little doubt that very few women run for public office precisely because of a sober assessment that their chances are not very good. On the other hand, unless more women run for public office in spite of the odds, the glass ceiling is not going to break. 

While this is certainly unfair, I have difficulty imagining what else could possibly cause the current state of affairs to change.</description>
